KAI-KOS

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

AI-KOS ("we") provides an AI reading assistant available as a website and a browser extension. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what happens to your data. We built AI-KOS around trust, so we keep this honest and simple.

What we do NOT do

What happens when you analyze something

When you click "Analyze," the text of the page or the text you paste is sent — over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection — to our processing service and then to our AI provider, Google (Gemini API), purely to generate your summary and scores. The result is returned to you and is not retained on our servers.

Because we currently use Google's free AI tier, Google may process and use that submitted text according to Google's Gemini API terms, which can include using content to improve their services. For this reason, please analyze publicly available articles rather than confidential or personal documents.

What is stored on your own device

To make the app fast and to keep your scores consistent, the browser extension saves your recent analysis results locally in your own browser's storage. This never leaves your device, is not visible to us, and is automatically pruned over time. You can clear it at any time by removing the extension or clearing your browser data.

Feedback you choose to send

If you use the optional feedback form, the rating and comment you submit (and an email address only if you choose to provide one) are delivered to us by a third-party form service (Web3Forms) so we can read and act on your feedback. Providing feedback is entirely optional.

Permissions the extension uses

Children

AI-KOS is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

As AI-KOS grows (for example, when we add optional accounts or paid plans), we will update this policy and the date above.
